International ShelterBox
Partnering globally to deliver emergency shelter and essential aid
As proud supporters of ShelterBox, Taradale Rotary assists in delivering vital emergency shelter and essential supplies to communities impacted by disasters around the world. Together, we help families rebuild their lives.
ShelterBox is a respected international disaster-relief charity born from a Rotary project in Cornwall, UK. Since its inception, it has provided life-saving aid to over 1.5 million people across more than 97 countries, responding to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis and conflict situations.
As an official partner of Rotary International, ShelterBox works closely with Rotarians – both here in Taradale and globally – to coordinate logistics, fundraising and on-the-ground support.
Inside each iconic green ShelterBox, you’ll find essential shelter items and tools, enabling families who have lost everything to protect themselves and begin rebuilding immediately. Where needed, lightweight ShelterKits offer repair tools to start restoring homes. Trained Response Teams deliver this aid with speed and care, leveraging globally pre-positioned stock for rapid deployment.
