Teaming up with the Rotary Club of Conegliano, Italy, in the Bragato International Student Exchange. Students study wine science at the Eastern Institute of Technology in Taradale and the Scuola di Vitocultura ed Enologia in Italy.

Established with the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board, the Oliver Smales Memorial Trust focuses on children’s health services in areas of specialist training and education of nurses. Named in honour of Oliver Smales, who was a well-liked and well-respected paediatrician and citizen of Hawke’s Bay.
